LubeSoft® Mobile Cashier: Q & A with Derek Horsley

Last month we introduced you to the new LubeSoft® Mobile Cashier – the new way to cash out your customers anywhere in your store with an Apple iPad®.  We are excited about what Mobile Cashier can do to improve the speed and efficiency of your customer transaction process.

We spoke with Derek Horsley to learn about his experience using Mobile Cashier for the past few months.

Here is what Derek had to say.

How long have you been using Mobile Cashier?
7 months.

What specific feature do you like most?
I love the ability to show the actual PDF of the invoice and review it with the customer at their car prior to signing.  This has been so well received by our customers.

How have you seen Mobile Cashier benefit your business process?
Mobile Cashier has been easy to integrate into our business process.  We can train our technicians within ten minutes and have them ready to interact with the customers with this tool almost immediately.  Using this new tool has helped us significantly speed up our transactions and made our process much more efficient.

How has using the Merchant Partner integration benefited you?
Since we integrated our POS with Merchant Partners, our cash out times have been cut in half. We are also saving money in processing fees. It’s a win-win for us!

Is there anything else you’d like to add?
This is a great new enhancement to help our business.  We love it and so do our customers!

iFlex Highlights

We just returned from a great week in Nashville at the 2016 International Fast Lube Expo (iFlex) show. iFlex and the Car Wash Show opened their doors to nearly 8,000 attendees with the opportunity to learn about new products, network and attend educational sessions.

In case you weren’t able to attend, here are a few highlights from our time in Music City.

  • LubeSoft® Mobile Cashier was a highlight at our booth and we enjoyed getting the chance to show attendees how Mobile Cashier offers the ability to ring out customers anywhere in the store. Mobile Cashier allows you to walk through each step of the purchase process with your customer from transaction review to invoice printing. Integrated Merchant Partners payment processing supports all major credit cards, debit and fleet cards while also offering a gift card program.
  • Merchant Partners joined ISI at iFlex and presented information about credit card processing during the ISI Quick Hit session on Tuesday. They emphasized the partnership between our two organizations and keyed in on their goal to drive revenue for our customers well beyond the usual focus of payment processing.
  • ISI gave attendees a rare chance to see one of the limited Corvette ZO6 convertible models. It has the added ZO7 Racing package with a 6-speed manual transmission. The 650 hp car is one of only 33 made by GM with this configuration.
  • Attendees were given the opportunity to interact with the newest updates to LubeSoft and were excited about the convenience and ease of having Cabin Air Filters on the ESM screen.
  • ISI featured the Modulube® patented Zip Pit and Blazer Lift at our booth. Attendees were able to see the ease and efficiency the pre-molded fiberglass unit provides technicians to quickly perform services under a vehicle. Using the Blazer 9000lb lift makes tire rotations simple.

15.6 LubeSoft Release Updates

The 15.6 LubeSoft® release is here and we want to highlight key features for you and review a few from earlier releases. Improved functionality and automation are offered in these updates, allowing you to enhance your daily operational needs. New features include the following:

 Cabin Air Filters Added to the ESM  (15.6)

Cabin Air Filter application information is now available on the first screen of the Electronic Service Manual (ESM). The PCV valve application information has been moved to page two of the ESM Screen.  ISI has built most of the cabin air filter applications for the following vendors. The balance of cabin air filter application information will be added in the next release. Read More
